Day 01: 17th July: LEH
On arrival at Leh airport, the representative at t he
airport and escort you to Hotel,
which is just 15 minutes, drive
from the airport will meet you.
Complete day for the acclimatization,
which is 3500 Mtrs above sea level.
In the evening short walk around
Leh bazaar. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: 18th July: LEH – SHEY-
THIKSEY- HEMIS – STOK
Leave after breakfast and drive to Thiksey gompa (half
an hour drive) which is situated
on the top of the hill and part
of Gelukpa order the disciple of
Jangson Tsongkhapa, Sherab Zangpo
of stod, first built the temple
of Stagmo Lakchung at the top of
Stagmo Lakchung at the top of Thiksey.
Continue drive to Hemis (one hour’s
drive) will take you to the famous
monastery Hemis which is one of
the most famous monastery of the
Ladakh region. Hemis is one of the
most famous and largest of all monasteries
in Ladakh founded in 17th
century belongs to the Drukpa order.
Stagsang Raschegn who was invited
to Ladakh by king Singee Namgyal
founded the monastery. The king
offered him religious estates and
attended him as his principal Guru.The
gompa has well preserved Thankas
and copper gild statue of the Lord
Buddha, various stupas made of gold
and silver and many auspicious objects.
On the way back drive visit to Shey
Palace which was constructed by
the first king of Ladakh, Lhachen
Palgyigon and of successive kings.
Around 12 feet Shakyamuni Buddha’s
statue made by cooper guilt is the
largest in the region. From here
after short drive we have to turn
left and cross a bridge over the
Sindh river and visit to Stok Palace
and museum which was built in the
year 1825, by King Tsespal Tondup
Namgyal, after the Zorawar’s annexation
of Ladakh. The royal family resides
here since Ladakh lost to Zorawar
Singh. At present the Palace has
a collection of royal dresses, old
thankas and king’s crown etc.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day
03: 19th July: LEH – PHYANG FESTIVAL
Leave after breakfast and proceed directly to Phyang,
which is just 22 Kms from Leh (forty-five
minutes drive). The monastery is
remarkably built on the hilltop,
similar to the Lekir monastery.
This monastery belongs to the Degungpa
order. Enjoy the festival sacred
dance dramas or Chhams forms the
core of this festival. The main
attraction for the devotees is the
pilgrimage to the huge thanka of
Skyabje Jigten Gombo founder of
the Drungungpa monastic order, which
is kept on exhibition during these
two days festival. In the evening
return back to the hotel. Dinner
and overnight at Hotel.
Day
04: 20th July:
LEH – TSOMORI RI
Leave in the morning and drive to Chumathang stop at
Upshi for passport checking. From
here the road turns towards left
and reach Karu. Chumathang is famous
for medical hot spring and people
visit to this place for medical
bath and visit chumathang monastery.
From here a short drive upto Maha
bridge the main checking point to
enter to this new area. From here
the road is rough. On the way visit
Sumdah village and another 55 kms
drive will take you to Tsomoriri
4300 Mtrs. The lake is breeding
ground for numbers species of birds.
Chief among them is the bar headed
goose, found in great numbers, and
crested grebe, the Brahmin ducks
(ruddy sheldrake) and the brown
headed gull. The Lake is 8 CMS.
Wide and 28 CMS long. Overnight
in tents.

05: 21st July:
TSOMORIRI
Day to visit Korzok
(village) walking distance
from the Camp. Korzok village with
its houses and its gompa appearing
like a mirage. The few barley fields
Korzok must be among the highest
cultivation in the world and enjoy
the festival at Korzok village.
Afternoon visit to the lake and
enjoy the different colors of the
lake with the reflection of the
sunrays. Overnight in tents.
Day
06: 22nd July:
TSOMORIRI – TSOKAR LAKE
- LEH
Drive to Mahe village and the road turns left from
here towards Puga valley. The village
is an unforgettable scene of shooting
fountain and white clouds hanging
upon. This
is Butan gas for which Puga valley
is famous. Continue drive to Tsokar
via Polokongka pass (13500 ft) and
visit Tsokar (small salted lake).
The place is famous for wild asses
are generally seen here grazing
and they seem moving in flocks.
From here short drive and reach
on National Highway route (Leh-
Manali). Continue drive towards
Leh via Tanglangla pass (5350 Mtrs)
which is the second highest motorable
pass in the world. Arrive Leh in
the evening. Dinner and overnight
at Hotel.
Day 07: 23rd July
: LEH – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
Morning visit
to
Leh Palace, known as Lechen
Palkhar was built by Singay Namgyal,
around in the beginning of 17th
Century A.D. The nine storey PalaceTsemo
gompa (Namgyal Tsemo) victory peak
was built by King Tashi Namgyal
after the reunification of upper
and lower Ladakh and victory over
Hor and their bodies are places
under an image of Mahakala, the
guardian deities to stop further
invasion of Hor. On the way back
visit Leh Bazaar enjoying walking
through the decorated narrow streets
of the market. In the evening return
back to the hotel. Afternoon free
for personal. Dinner and overnight
at Hotel.

08: 24th July:
LEH
After breakfast transfer in time to the airport to
connect onwards destination flight.
